In 1954, under the initiative of Angelo Costa (first president of Confindustria), the Comitato Nazionale dei Gruppi Sportivi Aziendali (National Committee of Company Sports Groups) was founded. The industrial world began to understand the significance and importance of the message that sport can spread among young people, workers and their families. The National Committee led to the establishment of the Raggruppamento Sportivo Aziende Industriali (Industrial Company Sports Groups), which, in 1964, then became CSAIn: Centri Sportivi Aziendali e Industriali (Centers for Company and Industry Sports).
CSAIn is a sport-promoting organisation recognized by CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee), the Domestic Ministry, and CIP (Italian Paralympic Committee). It is non-profit and nationally prevalent, with regional and provincial committees throughout the country; its aim is to promote sport, cultural, charitable and recreational activities.
As the only EFCS Italian member organisation, CSAIn has organised the EFCS Summer Games, held in Riccione from 3th to 7th June 2015. It will also be the promoting organiser of the ECWG (European Company Winter Games), to be held from 9th to 13 th March 20016, in partnership with the Municipality of Cortina d’Ampezzo.
