In 1954 under the initiative of Angelo Costa (first president of Confindustria), the Comitato Nazionale dei Gruppi Sportivi Aziendali [National Committee of Company Sports Groups] was founded. The industrial world began to understand the significance and importance of the message that can spread among young people, employees and their families by participating in sports.
From the National Committee arose the Raggruppamento Sportivo Aziende Industriali [Industrial Company Sports Groups], which in 1964 then became CSAIn: Centri Sportivi Aziendali e Industriali [Centers for Company and Industry Sports].
CSAIn is a sports-promoting organization recognized by CONI [Italian National Olympic Committee], the Ministry of the Interior, and CIP [Italian Paralympic Committee].
It is non-profit and nationally prevalent, with regional and provincial committees throughout the country; and aims to promote sports, cultural, charitable and recreational activities.
